ABSTRACT

Mobile devices are becoming ever more powerful and currently are able to run ever more complex
programs. In this thesis I would like to show that it is possible to play a simple board game against a
FFANN (feed forward artificial neural network) player and that by using NEAT (Neuroevolution of
Augmenting Topologies) the network can “design” itself reducing potential over-complexification or
under-complexification by human hands thus making it a viable optimization solution for a game
playing neural network on a mobile platform such as Sabre.
