Joint Arab-Foriegn Chambers

In the context of its efforts to promote external economic and trade relations, the
General  has developed extensive relations with foreign Chambers of Commerce
and Industry in various parts of the world. Since 1970, the activities of the 
expanded to include full-fledged Joint Arab-Foreign Chambers of Commerce in
Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Africa. It has set up the principles
underlying the organization of these joint chambers, in order to ensure a
balanced representation of the Arab and host country interests. These Chambers
have become instrumental in fostering relations between the host countries and
the Arab world. In China, the Arab-China Joint Chamber of Commerce has been
established on the basis of two reciprocal sections one at the General  and the
other at the China Council for International Trade (CCPIT).
The Secretariat General has a special section for the affairs of Joint Arab-Foreign
Chambers of Commerce. This section publishes an annual report on the activities
and developments relating to these Chambers.
