Pre-Employment checks

IST Rec performs a prescreening on all CVs that are shortlisted for Hiring Manager review:

Sensitive/Restricted Hiring: There are certain organization’s with which IBM has an

Hiring from IBM’s Business Partners: We do not directly recruit individuals employed
by our customers/business partners, as such employment could affect our business
relationships and create embarrassing situations. Prior to issuing an offer to applicants, IST
Rec notifies the IBM Business Partner Representative based within IBM and obtains

Remember: IBM must respect the confidentiality of applicants at all times.
Should the IBM BP Representative assess that the client needs to be notified
about the pending appointment, permission must be obtained from the
applicant in writing prior to contact being made.
Rehires: In exceptional circumstances, where there is a significant business need, former

part of a Resource Action or Management Initiated Separation.)
Non-Compete Clause: All Candidates are required to indicate on their IBM Application for
Employment if they have a non-compete clause related to a previous employer. In further
