‘The Splendor of Iridescence- The Hummingbird- 3 hour mini workshop Capture the fleeting quality of a hummingbird’s colors as it flits from flower to flower in your garden. Learn the science behind iridescence and how to capture this effect in ‘watercolor to portray the Ruby-throated hummingbird. Bring ‘The usual paints, brushes and palettes, including a quality 000 brush Opaque white Black watercolor Tracing paper, pencils Colored pencils-Prismacolor or Polychromos Gold and silver watercolor paints if you have them, although some will be available for use in class. Please print out the following pages prior to class, and bring them with you: ‘Transfer the Page 1 template to your favorite 140 or 3001b hot press watercolor paper. Print or transfer the Page 2 template to your favorite paper suitable for the quick, timed color pencil studies. Page 3 is a reference page.
