What makes reality

Reality, or what you consider to be reality, is to an extent, made up of two major aspects; the
objective and the subjective.

The problem with reality, many of what can be considered objective are actually subjective and
determining what is objective is a challenge.

One which i have decided to undertake this fine night

Lets start with trying to define the two categories as precisely as possible.

Oxford dictionary defines subjective as “based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or

opinions”. This therefore is different to each and every person. And therefore my reality is not your
reality. It is dependent on the person’s mind or ones perception of existence. This is a ver important
comment that I will be delving into deeper later on.

Oxford dictionary defines objective “not influenced by personal feelings or opinions” and is thus
not dependent on the mind for existence. It is actual, and cannot be argued. The objective aspect of
reality is known to me, and known to you. It is the same to everyone and are what I like to call the
pillars that hold reality together. This objective, fixed, and stable aspects of reality allow for
subjectiveness to sorround it.

The problem is with the identification of a feature of reality and removing all aspects of subjectivity
from it until its existence becomes unarguable and therefore revealing objective backbone on
which the subjective stands.
