How to use OEM activation method.

First make sure you have a properly licensed version of Windows.

To use OEM activation method you need 3 things:
- A SLIC table in your bios.
- A digital certificate installed in Windows that matches the SLIC in your bios.
- A SLP product key installed in Windows.

Before you install Windows make sure your bios has a SLIC table.
(SLP 2.0 SLIC is for Vista only. SLP 2.1 SLIC is for both Vista & Win7.)

After installing Windows, install the cert (.xrm-ms) which matches the SLIC in y
our bios.
To install the cert:
1) Copy the .xrm-ms file to C:\
2) Right click Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.
3) At the prompt type:
slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\CERT.XRM-MS
where CERT.XRM-MS is the name of the file.

Finally, install a SLP product key. You can enter it in the System control panel

or run from the Administrator command prompt:
slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
where XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX is the product key
