To all Eritrean Orthodox Tewhado Church/ Sunday Schools in U.S and Canada
This letter is to inform you about an upcoming conference hosted by Sunday School of
Columbus, coordinated and organized by the Youth Outreach program of the U.S and Canada
dioceses for youth ages 14 and older. It will be held at Saint Mary Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo
church of Columbus, Ohio on May 27-29", 2011. This date is not only St, Mary Columbus
cchurch’s feast day but also Memorial weekend. The Sunday School of St. Mary has prepared
food and place to sleep for the conference.
The conference is to combat the issue of the lack of understanding about the Tewahdo faith
among the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo youth who live in the U.S and Canada. The ultimate goal
of the conference is to help enlighten Eritrean Orthodox youth about the holy and original
Orthodox Tewahdo belief and to help them to grow in their Christian community by meeting
others such as themselves. In this conference, there will be teaching about core Tewahdo
believes, discussions, and seminars.
Registration forms will be sent out via letter and/or web which will have all the information
about the event. Our hope is that as many as possible can attend this event and that the event that
can grow and increase in impact as the years continue. As this conference is much needed in
order to preserve the true faith among the Diaspora, we ask that you consider allowing your
youth to attend,
May the prayers of the saints, angels, and martyrs be with us all and allow us to see the work of
God through conference.
God Bless.
