BIOGRAPHY
 Her real name is Hanna Golofski.
 She was born in New York City on August 3rd,
1923.
 She was married twice.
 She died of breast cancer at age fifty.
EDUCATION
 She went to Girls’ Commercial High School
and later to Traphagen School of Design from
1937-1938.
HALLMARKS
 She was known for her separates, sportswear
and jean lines.
 Her clothing was often fashionable and
comfortable.
 She also did accessories.
 Her clothing also was great for the petite,
especially because she was petite.
HOW SHE BEGAN
 Her line was originally a partnership with
Gunther Oppenheim.
 She started out as a sketch artist.
 Her first line of clothing (Junior
Sophisticates) was started when she was only
twenty-five years old.
