Gundam Model Kit Seamline Removal Tutorial

It’s been a while since I make some Gundam model kit tutorial, now while I have free time
please enjoy Gundam Model Kit Seamline Removal Tutorial! ^^;

You will need Hobby Cement to remove seamline, I use Tamiya brand but you could use
other brands too and…

Of course you need parts that need to be fixed.

See those ugly horizontal stripe? that is seamline and we’re gonna remove that.

First, prepare your part and hold it using a tools you comfortable with, I usually use alligator
clips on one parts.
Then take an amount of Tamiya Cement

Use it on edges on BOTH parts

Combine and then press it as hard as you can

*NOTE: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE CEMENT OR YOU WILL HAVE A BIG
MESSY TROUBLE.

Then clip it using any tools you have and LEAVE IT FOR A DAY, yes a day. Or 12 hours
minimal if you’re not a patient person like me :p
After the cement is dry (24 hours later) you will see something like this.

Then you will need an art knife or cutter

To remove the excess plastic

Then you will get something like this

Next process is sanding, I use 400 and 1000, but you could use 1500 for more softer result

First, sand with 400 and then continue with 1000/1500 to get a smooth result.
For special case like this, you will need plastic scribber, I use Hasegawa plastic scribber.

To give back the detailing loss because of sanding process (You dont need to do this if you
sand a smooth non detailed parts)
final look before painting would be like this, of course you could do better than me now ^^;

The next step would be painting this part either using spray can or Airbrush.

and voila! the end result would be like this after priming and before painting.
