DISMISSAL FROM ADDITIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITY (ALO)

After a careful consideration, we have concluded that your child,

□ disrupted the learning process during the ALO Program

□ been absent during the scheduled time of ALO from 2:45 - 4:15p.m.

As a result, ______________________________________ is being dismissed from the

ALO Program. This dismissal from the program does not constitute dismissal from the
traditional Fort Dearborn School instructional day. However, under the policy instituted
by Chicago Public Schools for the ALO Extended Learning Program students are
mandated to maintain 85% or better attendance during the program. Those students that
are dismissed or do not maintain 85% attendance will be required to an ALO Summer
School to make up for the Additional Learning Opportunities missed.

Information will be given at a future date regarding the details of the ALO Summer
School. If you have any questions or need any clarification, please contact me or an
administrator regarding this matter.
