An Extra Large Knee Brace - They Are Not All Created Equally...

Not every knee brace is the same, so we are writing this free article for you to help you figure out
which one is best for your needs. Seriously. Getting the wrong kind of support can be frustrating
and it can waste your time and money. Neither of which should be lost just because we did not
do a little homework on knee braces.

Let's Get Down To Business - Finding The Right Kind & The Right Size

Finding the correct knee brace for your needs boils down to a few simple areas of concern. Let's
discuss...

We are going to present some questions to you. Once you have answered them, then you can
take your answers and find out, much more readily, which knee brace you will need.

Questions You Need To Answers

1.) How bad is your knee pain? Seriously... Take a moment and think about it. Think about all
the moments when it is less severe and then when it aggravates you the most. Then, rate them on
a scale 1-10. Ten is the worst.

2.) Next, How bad is your knee instability? - Do you have any? Or, is pain your main issue? If
you have knee instability then getting the correct knee brace is crucial! You do not want to get an
elastic knee brace for a major ACL rupture. It will not give you nearly enough support. - We
think you get the drift.

3.) Has your physician ever given you a definitive diagnosis on your knee condition? Like an
ACL rupture, or a meniscus tear etc... This will help you because upon finding your knee brace,
many companies advertise according to your diagnosis. If you do not have the diagnosis from
your physician, this does not mean that you can not move forward with the support a brace can
provide.

Are You Really An Extra Large Size, or Are you A Size Up Or Down From There?

3 Basic Measurements
When you are looking for a non-custom knee support, you need to basically take three
measurements.

1.) A circumference measurement 6" above your knee center. 6" is equal to 15 cm.

2.) A circumference measurement at your knee center. Record this measurement as well.

3.) A circumference measurement 6" below your knee center.

When you have answered each of these sets of questions you will be much, much more likely to
find the correct kind of knee support. We hope you have felt like this article has helped.
