In order to objectively differentiate between various malt products, trained and informed panels have developed so-called Consensus
Profiles. The denominations chosen bythe panel, such as “malty” or “grain”, are depicted inthe cob-web diagrams as assessed values.
These assessments stress the marked differences in fragrance as wel as taste between malts!
