Shining Star

I want to push myself forward with purpose and not look down.

I believe that now I’ve found meaning to life, at least mine, in some ways.

I don’t want to look back only to realize I’ve made plenty of mistakes,

I want to look back and think “wow, I’ve made it this far.”

As a friend once told me, “I know you’re a lot stronger, look how far you’ve come
since then”; since then I’ve tried my best not to frown.

It doesn’t matter how long it takes, I’ll jump this hurdle if it takes years, months,
or even days.

Though I have a soft personality I’ll try my best to get stronger and not easily
break.

Maybe that was what I needed, a much needed heart to heart with a shining star.
