Children’s Book Project

Children’s books have morals and themes meant to teach children lessons and socialize
them. The books teach children how to fit in and function normally in society. This week we
have talked about what socialization is, how shows like Barney are intended to socialize kids,
and how girls and boys are socialized differently.

Working with a partner, you will write and illustrate a children’s book. This book should
socialize children by teaching them a part of life that you consider necessary for a young child to
learn. The book should be at least 10 pages long, and visually appealing to a child. This is due at
the beginning of class on Friday March 11.
