HOW DOES YOUR

MEDIA PRODUCT
REPRESENT
PARTICULAR SOCIAL
GROUPS
Camera, angle, shot movement and position
We use different camera shots really well, an example is when we put together three split
screens, one is when both characters are sleeping, the other is when the characters are
washing their face and the last one denotes the two characters getting ready.

This screenshot shows us both

characters sleeping, from the
lighting and states of the two
rooms, we can connote that
Michael’s room (on the right)
is cramped and the lighting is
poor compared to Tony’s
room which is good.

This spilt screen shows both phones

ringing to wake up both Tony and
Michael from sleep

This is a split screen showing both

Tony and Michael washing up in
the toilet and the camera is in a
mirrors perspective

These screenshots denotes that although they have similar lifestyles Tony (on the right) is
the boss and owns the place whereas Michael is his employee.

Editing
We used linear editing and just let our scenes flow as much as possible. We used many
fades in the beginning in the spilt screens so that it shows that there sleeping and the fact
that everything is calm at that moment.

Mise-en-scene
Throughout our opening sequence, we did not show people about the location. With the
clothes that they were wearing, obviously we had to make Tony look smart since he was the
boss of his company.

However, Michael was wearing a t-shirt and comfortable clothes because it was his day off
from work.

Sound
We used a lot of diagetic sound because tony and Michael were talking on the phone. We
used music as well which James created and it talked about or title.
