• . E-mail

people separated by great distances to correspond.
• 2. Instant Messaging,
Chat Rooms AIM, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger,
and Skype allow people to send messages
• 3. Webpages
Webpages are like virtual homes on the internet. Today you
can download files, submit files and comments, and do
all your shopping online.
• 4. Streaming Services and File Sharing –
The internet also allows file sharing. This allows you to
share files with other users.
Purpose of a Memo
A memo is used as a written reminder or to
convey a short proposal or some basic
information. A memo format is generally short
consisting of between one and four sentences. A
longer format might consist of several
paragraphs but should never exceed one page
in length. If the information you need to
communicate exceeds one page it is better to
write a report.
• NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

• Nonverbal communication includes facial

expressions, eye contact, tone of voice,
body posture and motions, and positioning
within groups. It may also include the way
we wear our clothes or the silence we
keep.
Letters
• Letters can be used for internal communication
but are mainly used for external communication.
The personnel departments to inform workers of
wage rises, promotion or redundancy and
disciplinary procedures will often use them. They
provide written means of communication and
can also include diagrams. Depending on how
the message is sent, it will take a certain amount
of time to reach the recipient
