82 1800cc Pushrod Motors made from ‘80-’82 have smaller intake valves than those years that followed; the consensus scems to be that these are suitable only if you plan to also use a Turbocharger along with these “smaller valve” engines, ‘83-’89 EA-81 engines apparently can be made to produce a decent increase in HP over the ‘80-82, if just normal aspirated induction is used.
