Note the differences of the four and similarities. And which ones are the driving forces for
genetic variability.
14. Describe genetic drift in relations to bottleneck effect, and founders effect. Be able to provide
examples of each.
15. Describe Directional Selection, Diversifying Selection, and Stabilizing selection. Be able to
provide examples of each.

17. Describe the forms of isolation: Prezygotic and Postzygotic barriers. Describe habitat isolation,
behavioral isolation, temporal isolation, mechanical isolation, gamete isolation. Be able to give
examples.

19. Describe what fossils are what they are used for.
20. Describe what a geological time is. The four main eras (in the correct sequence), how they came
to be. When life evolved and when humans first appeared.
