Preparing for juniper router configuration

Requirement:
1. Console cable and USB to Serial port cable
2. LAN cable

Physical Setup
1. Connect the Lan cable to equipment. Connect to console port
2. Connect the LAN cable to Serial port
3. Connect the Console cable to USB to Serial port cable
4. Connect USB cable to Laptop

Steps:

Running the Hyper Terminal

1. Setup configuration

Go to hyper terminal page

Default login-root
Prompt%-cli
Prompt>-Use for PING,TRACE,show configuration
Prompt#To configure device

2. Troubleshooting Command
show configuration| display set
show vrrp brief
show route <ip>
show interface terse
ping <destination ip> source <source interface ip>
show bgp neighbor
