Support Staff position with Lutheran Youth and Family Services. I am currently a student at
Susquehanna University and will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.

Through my work and internship experiences, I have developed skills that are essential in order to
succeed in the Human Services field. As an intern at Torrance State Hospital, I worked with
chronic mentally ill adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. In working with this population, I
have acquired patience and perseverance in my attempts to assess and communicate with these
individuals.

As a Resident Assistant and Peer Assistant at Susquehanna University, I have strengthened my

interpersonal skills by working with culturally, educationally, economically, and socially unique
individuals. Further, collaborating with other Resident Assistants required strong skills in
cooperation, communication, and teamwork. My participation in athletics has strengthened these
skills as well.

Juggling my education, athletics, and work has made me dependable, self-motivated, and
responsible. I am confident that I possess the qualities necessary to effectively serve as a
Therapeutic Support Staff member. I am willing to work hard and use my skills to the advantage
of Lutheran Youth and Family Services.
