Death: Grace Murray Gardiner

Grace Murray Gardiner, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997 at Valley Hospital, Las Vegas, NV.

A retired baker, she was born 16 Jan 1919 in Altonah, Duchesne, UT, daughter of James Beck
Murray and Atta Armelia Ashby. She married Grant Gardiner, 9 Oct 1939; Martin John Kavon,
17 April 1944; and Osborne Dillard Kelly, 27 Sept 1954.Her interests included archeology,
geology, rock and gem hunting, Indian folklore, jewelry making and crocheting. She was a
member of the Moab Rock Club.

Survivors include her only son, Errol Murray Gardiner and wife, LeiMomi Jean, of North Las
Vegas, NV.; four brothers and their spouses: Leland Pratt and Theda Murray, of Vernal, UT;
Boyd Ashby and Ardis Murray, of Mapleton, UT; Claude Stewart and Nada Murray, of Murray,
UT; Clyde Dean and Lenore Murray, of Roosevelt, UT; four grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilmer James Murray and sisters,
Sarah LaVora Murray and Margaret Murray Maxfield.

Funeral services will be held at the Lake Fork LDS meetinghouse in Altamont, UT at 11 a.m.
with Bishop George Ray conducting. Friends and family may attend a viewing from 10 a.m.
until time of services. Burial will be in the Altonah, UT Cemetery.
