Design, Construct, Live

Under this topic I will conduct few interviews with various professionals and home owners, trying to
unfold the various attributes of the slow home concept, both in intent and design.

A slow home is simple to live in, It is designed to making tasks more intuitive and effortless,
seamlessly fit the way you really live.

Much of the slow home ideas are derived from it and similar in essence. The slow food movement,
encouraging people to eat local, sustainably grown food, while retaining local and family traditions
and cultivating a mindfulness about what we eat and how we eat . "Slow Home" is about creating a
home that is nurturing to the family, environmentally sustainable, and connected to the community.
It's about choosing products for the home that are made in a sustainable way, with quality
craftsmanship and natural materials. It's about conscious consumer choices and mindful living. It's
about taking the time to make a home, and about nurturing the family that lives in the home .

The two parts interview is with Prof. John Brown the founder of Slow Home Studio, is the first in this
series. Preparing to this interview I was inspired by John’s doing, and after the interview I was even
more inspired and I hope you will too.
