When Principles Collide

God told the people of Israel, “You shall not kill.”
But David killed Goliath.

The bible does not give us detailed instructions

for every situation we may face.
The bible gives us broad principles for living.

Since Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit he is in our

hearts to direct us to all truth.

When we have a question we first go to the

bible to see what it says, then we pray for
the Holy Spirit to lead us to His truth.
American politics is in the middle of a clash
between people who sincerely believe in
biblical principles that appear to conflict.
Principle I. Care and Justice for the
Disadvantaged.
We are to have equal justice for all.
Psalm 82:3-4
3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless;
maintain the rights of the poor and
oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them
from the hand of the wicked.
၈၂ ၃ဆင္းရဲေသာ သူႏွင့္ မိဘမရွိေသာသူတို႔ကို
ေစာင္မၾကေလာ့။ ၿငိဳျငင္ေသာသူႏွင့္
ငတ္မြတ္ေသာသူတို႔ဘက္၌
တရားစီရင္ၾကေလာ့။ ၄ဆင္းရဲ ေသာသူႏွင္
ငတ္မြတ္ေသာ သူတို႔ကို မတရားေသာသူ၏
လက္မွ ကယ္ႏႈတ္ၾကေလာ့။
We are to care for the poor.
Matthew 19:21 21 Jesus answered, “If you want
to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and
give to the poor, and you will have treasure
in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
မသဲ ၁၉ း ၂၁
၂၁ေယရႈကလည္း၊ သင္သည္
စံုလင္ျခင္းသို႔ေရာက္လိုလွ်င္ သြားေလာ့
ကိုယ္ဥစၥာမ်ားကိုေရာင္း၍
ဆင္းရဲေသာသူတို႔အား ေပးေလာ့။ ထိုသို႔ျပဳလွ်င္
ေကာင္းကင္ဘံု၌ ဘ႑ာကိုရလိမ့္မည္။ သို႔ၿပီးမွ
ငါ့ေနာက္သို႔လုိက္ေလာ့ဟု မိန္႔ေတာ္မူ၏။
We are to care for the poor.
Paul agrees.
Galatians 2:10 10 All they asked was that we
should continue to remember the poor, the
very thing I was eager to do.
ဂလာတိၾသဝါဒစာ။ ၂
၁ဝငါတို႔သည္ဆင္းရဲ ေသာ သူမ်ားကို
ေအာက္ေမ့ေစျခင္းငွါ
သူတို႔အလုိတခုတည္းရွိ၏။ ထုိအမႈကို
ငါသည္အလုိအေလ်ာက္ ႀကိဳးစား
အားထုတ္ေလ့ရွိ၏။
Principle II. God gives us unconditional love and
grace.
Ephesians 2 8 For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is
the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
ဧဖက္ၾသဝါဒစာ။
၈ယံုၾကည္ေသာအားျဖင့္ ေက်းဇူးေတာ္ေၾကာင့္
ကယ္တင္ျခင္းသို႔ ေရာက္ရ၏။ ကိုယ္အလို
အလ်ာက္ေရာက္သည္မဟုတ္။ ဘုရားသခင္
သနားေတာ္မူရာ ျဖစ္သတည္း။ ၉ကိုယ္ကုသိုလ္ေၾကာင့္
ကယ္တင္ေတာ္မူျခင္းသို႔ ေရာက္သည္မဟုတ္။
သို႔ျဖစ္၍ အဘယ္သူမွ် ဝါၾကြားစရာအခြင့္မရွိ။
Principle II. God gives us unconditional love

Romans 5 8 But God demonstrates his own
love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
ေရာမၾသဝါဒစာ-၈
ငါတို႔သည္ အျပစ္ရွိစဥ္ပင္၊ ခရစ္ေတာ္သည္
ငါတို႔အတြက္ေၾကာင့္
အေသခံေတာ္မူသည္ျဖစ္၍၊ ဘုရား သခင္သည္
ငါတို႔ကို အဘယ္မွ် ေလာက္ခ်စ္ေတာ္မူသည္ကို
ငါတို႔အား ထင္ရွားစြာျပေတာ္မ၏ ူ ။
Principle III. The World is God’s and we are Stewards.
Everything is owned by God.
I Chronicles 29 14 "But who am I, and who are my
people, that we should be able to give as
generously as this? Everything comes from you,
and we have given you only what comes from your
hand.
ရာဇဝင္ခ်ဳပ္ပဌမေစာင္။ ၁၄
သို႔ရာတြင္ ၾကည္ညိဳေသာစိတ္ႏွင့္
ဤမွ်ေလာက္မပူေဇာ္ႏိုင္ေအာင္ အကြၽႏ္ုပ္ႏွင့္
အကြၽႏ္ုပ္၏လူတို႔သည္
အဘယ္သို႔ေသာလူျဖစ္ပါသနည္း။
ခပ္သိမ္းေသာအရာတို႔သည္ တန္ခိုးေတာ္
ေၾကာင့္ျဖစ္ပါ၏။ အကြၽႏ္ုပ္တို႔သည္ ကိုယ္ေတာ္၏
ဥစၥာထဲကသာ ကိုယ္ေတာ္အားပူေဇာ္ပါ၏။

Deuteronomy 8 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it
is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so
confirms his covenant, which he swore to your
forefathers, as it is today.
တရားေဟာရာက်မ္း ၈ း ၁၈
သင္၏ဘုရားသခင္ထာဝရဘုရားကိုသာ ေအာက္ေမ့ရမည္။
အေၾကာင္းမူကား၊ သင္၏ဘုိးေဘး
တို႔အားက်ိန္ဆုိေတာ္မူေသာ ပဋိညာဥ္တရားေတာ္ကို
ယေန႔ကဲ့သ႔ို တည္ေစလုိေသာငွာ၊ စည္းစိမ္ရတတ္ေသာ
အစြမ္းသတၱိကို ဘုရားသခင္ေပးေတာ္မူ၏။

God trusts us to manage His creation.
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in
our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the
sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over
all the earth, and over all the creatures that move
along the ground."
ကမၻာဦးက်မ္း။ ၁ း၂၆
တဖန္ ဘုရားသခင္က၊ ငါတို႔ပံုသ႑န္ႏွင့္တညီ
တသ႑န္တည္း လူကို ဖန္ဆင္းၾကစို႔။ သူသည္
ပင္လယ္ငါးကိ၄ ု င္း၊ မိုဃ္းေကာင္းကင္ငွက္တို႔က၄ ို င္း၊
သားယဥ္တို႔က၄ ို င္း၊ ေျမတျပင္လံုးႏွင့္တကြ၊ ေျမေပၚမွာ
တြားတတ္ေသာ တိရစာၦန္အေပါင္းတို႔က၄ ို င္း
အုပ္စိုးေစဟု အမိန္႔ေတာ္ရွိ၏။

God will call us to account for our stewardship.
Romans 14 12 So then, each of us will give an account of
himself to God.
ေရာမၾသဝါဒစာ ၁၄ း ၁၁
က်မ္းစာလာသည္ ကား၊ ငါအသက္ရွင္ေတာ္မူသည္ျဖစ္၍၊
ငါေရွ႔၌ လူတိုင္းဒူးေထာက္ရမည္။ ဘုရားသခင္အား
လူတိုင္းမိမိႏႈတ္ႏွင့္ သစၥာခံရမည္ဟု
ထာဝရဘုရားမိန္႔ေတာ္မူ၏။ သို႔ျဖစ္၍၊ ငါတို႔ရွိသမွ် သည္
ဘုရားသခင္စစ္ေၾကာေတာ္မူျခင္းကို ခံရၾကမည္။

For what are we responsible?
Care for ourselves and our families
1 Timothy 5:8 8 If anyone does not provide for his
relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he
has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
တိေမာေသၾသဝါဒပဌမေစာင္။ ၅ း ၈
မိမိလူတို႔ကို မျပဳစု၊ ထိုမွ်မက၊ မိမိအိမ္သူ အိမ္သားတို႔ကို
မျပဳစုေသာသူမည္သည္ကား၊ ယံုၾကည္ျခင္းတရားကို
ျငင္းပယ္၏။ မယံုၾကည္ဘူးေသာသူထက္
သာ၍ယုတ္မာ၏။

For what are we responsible?
Anticipate future needs (seed corn for next crop)
Matthew 25:9 9 “ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be
enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those
who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
ရွင္မႆဲခရစ္ဝင္။ ၂၅း ၉
ပညာရွိေသာသူတို႔ကလည္း၊ သင္တုိ႔အဘို႔ႏွင့္
ငါတို႔အဘို႔ဆီမေလာက္။ ထုိေၾကာင့္ ဆီေရာင္းေသာ
သူရွိရာသို႔သြား၍ ကိုယ္သံုးဘုိ႔ဝယ္လွ်င္
သာ၍ေကာင္းသည္ဟု ျပန္ေျပာၾက၏။

Proverbs 22: 3 A prudent man sees danger and takes
refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
သုတၱံက်မ္း ၂၂ း ၃
သမၼာသတိရွိေသာ သူသည္အမႈကို ေျမာ္ျမင္၍
ပုန္းေနတတ္၏။ ဥာဏ္တိမ္ေသာသူမူကား၊
အစဥ္အတိုင္းသြား၍ အမႈႏွင့္ ေတြ႔တတ္၏။

Proverbs 21: 20 In the house of the wise are stores of
choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all
he has.

ပညာရိွေသာသူ၏ အိမ္၌ ႏွစ္သက္ဘြယ္ေသာ
ဘ႑ာႏွင့္ ဆီရိွတက္၏။ မိုက္ေသာသူမူကား
ကုန္ေစတက္၏။

For what are we responsible?
Care for those in need.
Ephesians 4: 28 He who has been stealing must steal
no longer, but must work, doing something useful
with his own hands, that he may have something
to share with those in need.
ဧဖက္ၾသဝါဒစာ။ ၄ း၂၈
ခိုးတတ္ေသာသူသည္ ေနာက္တဖန္မခိုးဘဲ၊
ဆင္းရဲေသာ သူအား ေပးကမ္းေဝငွရန္ ရွိေစျခင္းငွါ၊
မိမိလက္ႏွင့္ ေကာင္းေသာအလုပ္ကို လုပ္ေဆာင္အား
ထုတ္ေစ။
Principle IV. The person who refuses to work, is
on his own.
2 Thessalonians 3: 10 For even when we were
with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man
will not work, he shall not eat.”
11 We hear that some among you are idle.
They are not busy; they are busybodies.
12 Such people we command and urge in
the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn
the bread they eat.
Principle IV. The person who refuses to work, is on his own.
သက္သာေလာနိတ္ၾသဝါဒစာဒုတိယေစာင္။ ၃ း ၁ဝ
အဘယ္သို႔နည္းဟူမူကား၊ သင္တို႔ႏွင့္အတူ ရွိစဥ္အခါ၊
အလုပ္မလုပ္ခ်င္ေသာ သူမည္သည္ကား၊ အစာကိုလည္း
မစားေစႏွင့္ဟု ပညတ္ထားၾကၿပီ။ ၁၁မတရားစြာျပဳ၍
အဘယ္အလုပ္ကိုမွ် မလုပ္ဘဲ၊ ကိုယ္ႏွင့္မဆိုင္ေသာအမႈ၌
ေရာေႏွာေသာသူအခ်ိဳ႔တို႔သည္ သင္တို႔တြင္ရွိေၾကာင္းကို
ငါတို႔ၾကားရၾက၏။ ၁၂ထိုသို႔ ေသာသူတို႔သည္
ၿငိမ္ဝပ္စြာလုပ္ေဆာင္၍၊ ကိုယ္အစာကို စားမည္အေၾကာင္း၊
ငါတို႔သခင္ ေယရႈခရစ္ အားျဖင့္ ငါတို႔သည္ ပညတ္ထား၍၊
တိုက္တြန္းေသြးေဆာင္ၾက၏။
 We need to pray for

wisdom for our leaders.
