Grade 3 – Social Studies Project Second Semester

Please Note: This is an assessed piece of homework. The completion and handing
in on time of this project will contribute 5 marks towards your son’s end of year
report card mark. Hand your completed assignment back to your teacher on or
before Saturday 28th May. Marks will be deducted for late submission.

Project: Make Up a Game

Objectives: To broaden awareness of the variety of activities and exercises
that help keep the body fit
• To understand the components of a good exercise program

Please assist your son to try and achieve the highest mark possible.

Directions:

1. Your son will create a game that demonstrates a thorough understanding of all
the elements of a good exercise program.
2. He should make sure to incorporate the exercise pyramid in the rules of the
game.
3. The game should be simple and fun.
4. The project should be presented on a poster and should be made showing the
rules of the game and how it works.
