5th period
 Japan has a population of 126,475,664 with
Marine life being their superior exports.
 Japan has the largest fish markets in the world. Thousands of
fishes such as tuna, are killed and shipped out daily. Or
prepared for auctions!
 Dolphins are marine mammals that are closely
related to whales and porpoises
 Can grow to be from 4 to 30ft in length and
weigh up to 90 pounds
 Japan has killed more than 24000 whales under
the disguise of 'scientific whaling'
 Japan has been having numerous accounts of
also killing hundreds of dolphins daily in the
shores of Taiji.
 Positioning their boats strategically, they space out to form a
line and wait for the dolphins. When the dolphins arrive, the
fishermen drop long metal pipes into the water, and by banging
on the pipes they create a wall of sound. The sound interferes
with the dolphins' ability to navigate - it disorients and panics
them.
The fishermen usually injure a few of the captive dolphins with
a spear thrust or a knife slash - dolphins will not abandon these
wounded family members.
 And in the end the Japanese would sell the dolphin meat
labeled as other fish meat which happens to be severely
contaminated with mercury.
 Could Cause Metal Toxicity in your heart,
lungs, brain, and most likely your nervous
system. Which could result to kidney failure,
digestive problems, and distress.
 A documentary film was made entitled the
Cove which showed the inhuman actions of
Japan, and made the Marine Life executives
aware.
 To simply spread the awareness and try to
donate to funds and organizations to help fight
this catastrophe
 Or write a letter to the board of Marine life
