The design forthe hotel must address his love for music ‘and incorporate aspects of musicin every part of the hotel. One particular song, “Horchata” by Vam- pire Weekend, must form the central concept for ‘the hotel. erkner hasa close te to this song be- cause ofthe great memories he has of writing and performing it. He remembers traveling to South ‘America and meeting all ofthe fiendly people and seeing allo the wonderful scenery. First Floor ‘This great atmosphere spurred his dea fortis song and inspired him to create this hotel so thathe could relate the feelings of warmth and welcome a5 wel as liveliness and vibrancy that he felt when visting Chile ‘to those who are staying atthe hotel. When designing thishotel, Berkner wanted to make sue that al aspects ofthe design (color, shape, sounds) reflected that warm atmosphere.
