    1.Click on the "Start" button to launch the "Start" menu.

    2.Click "Run" if you use Windows XP. Windows Vista and 7 users can type into the text box provided on
    the Start menu.
    3.Type "regedit" into the text box and press the "Enter" key.
    4.Find the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{identity}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0
    5.Click on the key once to highlight it in the left pane. You will see more information about it in the right
    pane.
    6.Right-click on the "Compact Check Count" entry in the right pane and change the value to "0".
    7.Close the registry editor and reboot your computer for changes to take effect.
