Ms. Crowley Learning Disability Lab

1. In your own words, how would you define a person with a learning disability?

a. A learning disability is an impairment which prevents the subject from learning at the rate at

which his peers can. Essentially, the person can learn all of the same material that his peers are

learning, however, it takes him longer to process the information, so he is always somewhat

behind his peers.

2. From this exercise, explain some of the difficulties you encountered with completing this lab.

a. Some of the difficulties I encountered while doing this lab were, it was very hard for me to

complete the puzzles through the mirror. Simply because what I saw, was a reflection, and in

order to move my hand to where it needed to go, I needed to physically move it in the opposite

direction. I also had to look at what needed to be done, and then think about doing the exact

opposite, because I was looking t a reflection.
