Poverty has existed for a very long time, and to different extents it remains
worldwide still now in this 21st century. In primitive societies it was most often the
case that everybody was equally poor, but more modern societies have generally
tended to involve poverty being confined to an often substantial minority only -
though this can often harm those concerned even more than universal poverty
does.

Currently, a measure of income inequality called low-income cutoff published by


Statistics Canada is often used as an index of poverty and 10.8% in 2005. It uses
statistics such as the Central Intelligence Agency rather than an average
performance, noting that the results of a measure at above absolute poverty.
Some of the elements that work in reducing poverty in Canada including Canada's
economic growth is strong, government transfers to individuals of $ 164 million
annually starting in 2008, universal medical and public education systems, a
progressive system of income tax and minimum wage laws in each of the
provinces and territories of Canada.
A number of sectarian and religious organizations operate shelters, food banks,
and help from other low-income Canadians. Some of the most important charities
and religious organizations in Canada are granted direct aid to the poor include the
Canadian Red Cross, the Salvation Army and United Way of Canada.
Governments are a major contributor to charities in Canada, mainly through tax
deductions.

The delegation of Canada certainly thinks that some solutions could be create
campaigns trying to make people see how much poverty exist in the wolrd as in
Canada, also by supporting those parts of the world that need our help as The
delegation of Canada by apporting food and shelter to the needed ones.
