“Life is a learning experience”. We have learned the validity of this

This Business Research report has convinced us again, not in the learning but also
in terms of the vast team of talented people that take part in creating this report.
We believe each person plays a piece of a puzzle to make the complete picture,
some pieces are bigger then others, but without anyone piece the picture would not
be completed.
We feel great pleasure and honor to express our gratitude from the citadel of
our hearts to the people whom we met, for their cooperation. Their sympathetic
behavior has an ever-lasting impression on the pages of our memory.
We also give honor to (In charge of Business Research)

Introduction
Now-a-days, we have to identify and evaluate the flour crises by using systematic
approach in Bahawalpur.

As we know that, flour is the basic nesseccity of every person and flour crises have
a significient impact on everybody.

So, basic thing is that to select that flour mills whose purpose is to provide flour to
the consumers in a good way.Flour mills that having most values in the societies.
If these flour mills are provided the flour in a good and successful way to the
consumers in the market , then consumers can meet there demands of flour and
they can spent life easily.

But in current situations , there are many flour mills whose purpose is to earn
money by providing lower quality of flour. They are not focusing to build their
mills for to make better economy. If we talk about the Government mills, even
today in these mills flour is produce of a low qulity. Some flour mills are not
working properly due to this these are closed. The managers in that kind of flour
mills are working only for to get pay at the end of the month. On the other hand
there is less awareness and policies to our government while making selection of
managers for the mills.

Some private flour mills having some financial problems and are unable to pay the
monthly rents and other expenditures. That is all due to dynamic environmental
and also the recession of our economy. Due to less technology and population
factor is also influence on the demand of flour.

If government successfully run the flour mills and make policies better then the
flour shortage can be eliminated.

Research Methodolgy
While developing an approach to the problem we identified the theoretical
framework. Theoretical framework is the foundation on which the entire research
project is based. It is a logically develop describe and elaborated network of
association among the variables deemed relevant to the problem and which have
been identified through such processes and interview, observation and literature
survey.

This research is conduct in a team that was interested in flour crises within
Bahawalpur city. This particular team includes five mal and two females. We start
the each day with a brief (3-4 hour survey) on an agreed upon site, often just
gathering data. We have attend these 6 mornings a week for 7 weeks, and will stay
on to observe simultaneously work for approximately 28 hours during the seven
weeks period. Our primary focus was on the interaction in data gathering.

There are 13 flour mills in Bahawalpur. We have visited the 12 flour mills and 1
flour mill is under construction. Three flour mills are located in the area of
Ahmedpur Road Khanqah Sharif BWP. Four flour mills are located in the area of
Small Industry Area Bahawalpur. One flour mill is located at Fatoo Wali Road
Bahawalpur. Two flour mills are located at Heavy Industry Area Bahawalpur &
two are located at Near railway phatak Quaid-e-Azam Colony BWP.
For the data collection a questionnaire is designed which consist 49 questions.
100% forms are filled and collected by these selected areas. There are two sections
first one was producers in which there were 32 questions, second section was about
consumers in which there were 17 questions (11 closed ended questions & 6 open-
ended questions). Now adding these all questions we have total 49 questions.

After taking a direct interview for filling this questionnaire from the respondent
who are owner of the mills or any other (manager) representative of the firm, a

Suggestion About flour

crises
In our point of view, flour crises are due to the shortage of wheat. Government is
responsible of this shortage. Our export and import policies are improper. In the
region of Pervaz Musharaf, he export wheat $200 per tone and when there is
shortage in our country, he import low quality wheat at $500 per tone to fulfill our
requirement. This is the reason that prices of flour are very high. There is a huge
difference between import and export prices and Pakistan bear a great loss. The
people who belong to lower status and there income is very low can’t bear these
prices. The govt. should take following action about these crises and renew their
policies:
• Control on load shedding
• Facilitate to farmers i.e. provide fertilizer at proper prices
• Give subsidies to mill owners and suppliers
• Introduce new methods to improve our agriculture sector
• Provide education to the farmer
• Introduce new policies and strictly Implement on them
Supplier or mill owners are also responsible of this shortage. They wanted to earn
profit at any source and way. When there are crises in our country and shortage of
flour occur they store the wheat and wait for high prices so that they can earn high
profit. People in our country are dishonest. As a Muslim it is our duty to work
honestly and help to each other. They take step to eliminate the flour crises:
• Must be loyal and honest
• Establish new plant to increase the productivity of flour
• Control on monopoly system

Increase in population is also a reason of the shortage of flour. As population

increase the demand for flour also increase aggressively because Pakistan’s
population mostly on flour as a basic food. Pakistan as a developing country and
has low resources to produce higher out put. It is so difficult to provide each
facility to each member of country as population increase aggressively. We must
give awareness to the people that they control on their population.

Finally, the reason may be but we must be honest and work hard and with sincere.
