What is disease?
 When a parasite
attacks a host(man),
the effect we see on
the body is called
disease.
The life cycle of a parasite
 1-The parasite must
enter the host.(body)
 2-It must find the
right place in the
body
 3-It must reproduce.
The life cycle of a parasite
 4-The young
parasites must leave
the body
 5-The young ones
must survive outside
the body until it can
enter a new host.
 If any one of the five
steps in the life cycle
of a parasite broken,
then the disease is
eradicated.
3 Stages in the invasion of man by parasite

 The first
stage;Incubation
period is the amount
of time from the
entry of the
parasiteinto the body
until the first
symptoms of
disease.
Clinical illness

 The patient
develop the
symptoms of the
disease.
The period of Convalescence

 The patient recovers

his strength after the
battle is over
between the host
and the parasite
Infectious period
 The infectious period
is the time when the
parasite is being
discharged. From
the host.
