Melbourne cricket Ground

Melbourne is the sports capital of Australia and Melbourne cricket ground (MCG) is one of the two most
important cricket stadiums in the world and it has got the largest capacity of people of about 100,012
which was opened in the year 1854.This stadium is the land mark of Melbourne and MCG is called as the
sports holy temple.MCG has got the highest light towers in the world other than any sporting
venues.MCG had became the venues of the 1956 summer olympics and 2006 commonwealth
games.This stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the world and makes up the 8th largest stadium in
the world while Eden Gardens of india holds the 22nd position and carries the 2nd spot in cricket
stadium.
