MNGT Driving at Night Driving at night is prohibited except in emergency cases for essential operational or HSE reasons between rigs, fields, ADCO and Contractors camps, excluding rig- camp site. As per Road safety Manual 1-3, a night travel approval form must be used after the sunset. In the current practice, verbal approval is obtained from the direct manager which will no longer be applicable without using the form. Traveling between sunset and sunrise requires your direct manager approval on the attached request form. This form will be applied in all ADCO and Contractors personnel. Please ensure that no driving at night unless it is approved by your direct manager i.e, VP, DOM, DTM, DSM and REM. ADCO concemed radio/control rooms are to be advised of vehicles movements to and fram the fields (Book out/Book in). Lately, ADCO Abu Dhabi Telecom operator have reported that some of the service providers book out from the rigs but fail to book in when they arrive back to their respective camps. It's the responsibility of the travelers to book in as soon as he artives to the camp. Abu Dhabi Telecom usually call the person booked out at the expected arrival time, some times they get no or late respond, It is a clear violation of journey management conditions and authorization of Manual 10/3.
