HOW TO RUN KMS

TO KMS:

1. Log in as the local administrator.

2. Open the Run Prompt ( + R).
3. Type in the string “\\RRCCLABK01\Transfer\gr\KMS Arvada Campus” and
press “Enter ”.

4. If prompted, into your credentials.

5. For Windows 7, Right-Click > Run as Administrator “Windows 7 KMS activate.bat ”.
6. There will be multiple VBS message boxes that pop up, on each click “OK ”.
7. Back in the “KMS Arvada Campus ” folder, Right-Click > Run as Administrator
“OFFICE 2010 KMS ACTIVATE (32 BIT OFFICE ON A 32-BIT OR 64-BIT
OS).bat ”. This should take a few seconds to run and there are no pop-ups.
8. Once again, open the Run Prompt and enter “slmgr /ato ” and press enter.

WINDOWS AND OFFICE SHOULD NOW BE ACTIVATED. TO CONFIRM, DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. Open the Start Menu and Right-Click Computer .

2. On the context menu, select “Properties ”.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the System applet that just popped
up, and look for the last row entitled “Windows activation ”. If it
says “Windows has been successfully activated. ”, then no
further steps are required for the operating system.
4. Open up Microsoft Word .
5. Click the top-leftmost button “File ”.
6. On the left-hand pane, click on “Help ”.
7. On the right-hand side, there should be the text “Product
Activated ”. If so, the system has been successfully KMS’d.
