 Breastfeeding is the feeding of an infant or

young child with breast milk directly from female


human breasts, rather than from a baby bottle or
other container

What is breastfeeding?
The amount of milk produced depends on
how often the baby suckles.

When you feed the baby, the suckling


motion causes hormones to be released
into the bloodstream from the pituitary
gland in the brain.
