I do hope Allegheny is able to help with my purchase. Your company has the exact size
of Grain-Oriented Electrical Steel sheeting for my transformer design.
I have designed a rather unique step up transformer. Basically a planar design only it
will be modular in order to switch out the primary and secondary windings. On the
primary side the input is 72volts @ 120Amps
pulsed DC 2KHZ min. and 10KHZ max. stepped up to 6000 volts at the secondary out
put. The out put charges a capacitor that will discharge across a spark gap. What I need
to find is a supplier for soft magnetic alloy core material. I can only estimate the sizes
needed because stock sizing will dictate to the final product. If I can purchase soft
magnetic alloy sheets approximately 24" square or slightly larger I can have this laser
cut, locally to my design,.
At 24" X 24" @ .062 thick I would need 140 sheets. If you are not able to sell perhaps
your recommending a supplier would be most helpful. The internet is alive with
companies filling orders in the tonnage where my research project is far too small.
