BACHELOR RECIPES

Masala Fried Rice

Ingredients:

Green Peas, carrot, Beans, Corn - 1 cup


Onion - 2 nos
Masala powder - 4 tsp
chilly powder - 2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
Basmati Rice - 3 cups
Tomato Sauce - 2 tsp
Soy sauce - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 cup
Water - 1.5 cups

Method:
1. Heat half cup of oil in a pan add chopped onions. stir well it golden brown in colour.
2.Now add all the vegetables.
3. Add masala powder, chilly powder and salt and stir well till the vegetables cooks well.
4. Transfer all the contents in the pan into another vessel.
5. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan
6. Now add the basmati rice and stir well till the rice changes the colour
7. Now add water, tomato sauce, soy sauce and salt. cook till the rice cooked and water dries.
8. Now add cooked vegetables to this and mix well.

Quick Payasam
Ingredients
500 ml Milk (Doodh) , 250 gms Rice (Chawal) , 200 gms Sugar (Cheeni)
50 gms Ghee , 3 tblsp chopped Nuts

Method

Pick and wash the rice.


Soak in water for 30 minutes.
Drain completely.
Melt the ghee in a pan, add the drained rice and sauté for 5-7 minutes on a medium flame.
add the milk and cook on a low flame till the milk is reduced to 3/4th its original quantity.
Add the sugar and simmer further till the milk is reduced to half its original quantity.
Garnish with nuts.
