    Types of Viruses
    Trojan Horse It doesn t self-replicate. Doesn t damage the computer. Opens the backdoor to hackers. Computer Worms Self-replicates. Corrupts and modifies data on the computer. Spreads on networks, increases bandwidth. Can delete files, encrypt files or emails. Spyware It is harmful. Mostly doesn t damage data. Takes partial control of computer, collecting personal info. Avoid using free softwares.

    Precautions
    Install antivirus on the computer. Update antivirus regularly. Do not use Pen Drives and CD-ROMs in Autorun mode. Always press shift key. Make use of Windows Explorer. Avoid double clicking folders. Do not open unknown mails or files. Do not install free softwares.
