The Universal Human

The Evolution of Individuality

By Rudolf Steiner Translated by Gilbert Church, edited by Sabine H. Seiler from: GA#'s 117, 124 and 165
In these lectures, Rudolf Steiner describes the evolutionary task facing contemporary humanity as it prepares to enter the sixth epoch. In the past, human souls felt a strong connection with the group soul to which they belonged. Today, all group soul characteristics such as race and nation must be stripped off. Of the last lecture, Rudi Lissau writes: No anthroposophist should approach racial problems without first pondering this lecture and its implications. Translated by Gilbert Church, and edited by Sabine H. Seiler. The original translation was from shorthand reports unrevised by the lecturer. Published here with the permission of the Rudolf Steiner Nachlassverwaltung, Dornach, Switzerland. Be sure to compare this with another version of this book, The Ego.
