The main aim of the project is to control your mouse cursor and windows media player with Television remote. It is used to change the volume or to change the track . This project will do all the operation of mouse such as clicking , selecting etc.. It can also perform the function of some of the keys on the keypad i.e enter and shift etc.. This project is an implementation of RC5 remote on micro controller. It receives the code is decoded and sent to Pc. IR remote software written in Embedded C programming. Make a chip to control your computer remotely with almost any remote controller . The micro controller used here would be either 16f72 or 16f73.

PIC16F72 CMOS FLASH-based 8-bit microcontroller is compatible with PIC1672/72A and PIC16F872.

 

RS232 is a cable in which serial communication can be done. It was developed by Electronic Industries Association(EIA).

It is used to convert the signal voltage levels. Pc requires 12volts.

We use TSOP1738 as IR receiver.
