Is a form of protest in which people congregate outside a place of work where an event is taking place.

STRIKE ACTION
Is often simply called a strike, it is a work stoppage caused by the mass refusal of employees to perform work.

WORK TO RULE
Is a job action in which workers cause a slowdown by doing only the minimum amount required by the rules of the workplace.

CLOSED SHOP
Is a company that hires only union members.

ARBITRATION
Is a process in which a disagreement between two or more parties is resolved by impartial individuals.

CONCILIATION
Is the process of adjusting or settling disputes in a friendly manner through extra judicial means.

COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
It is a negotiation between an employer and trade union.

INDUSTRIAL COURT
Is a court which can decide in industrial disputes if both parties agree to ask it to judge between them.

NEGOTIATION
The discussion of terms and conditions in order to reach an agreement.

SETTLEMENT
Is a conclusion of an agreement under which a party fulfills its promise to another party.

WAGE COUNCILS
Is a council which Is responsible for settling a legally enforceable minimum wage.

WILDCAT STRIKE
An unauthorized work stoppage while a labor contract is still in effect.
