.Alexis Podest Prats En el Cerro Piltriquitrn, en la localidad de El Bolson, hace algunos aos muchos artistas trabajaron en conjunto para tallar troncos de rboles, que haban sido quemados en un incendio. De all surgi una exposicin permanente... el bosque tallado.

Eran los tiempos en que los arboles deambulaban por las tierras que el hombre llamaba bosques..., porque alguna vez caminaron nuestro mismo suelo..., Cuenta la leyenda que

cuando los mortales tomaron el poder del mundo, sus leosos cuerpos se quedaron quietos para siempre... La historia que voy a relatar, tiene mucho que ver con las deudas que tenemos con quienes nos dieron y nos dan da a da el aire que respiramos, el techo que nos cobija y los muebles que usamos. Un da los rboles despertaron de su sueo de siglos y convocaron a los seres pequeos que habitan los bosque y reclamaron justicias para sus hermanos muertos; fue entonces cuando se decidi en secreto cnclave la ejecucin del responsable de la gran masacre de la especie vegetal que estaba a punto de terminar con los bosques del planeta. Los seres luminosos se lanzaron a la bsqueda del culpable, y al poco tiempo retornaron a reunirse con los cipreses, lengas y coihues abuelos del bosque del Piltri con la amarga certeza de que ejecutar al culpable poda ser tambin el fin de la raza humana... No obstante se propusieron encontrar un castigo ejemplar que pudiera ejecutarse en un representante de la raza y sirviera para que el mundo comprendiera la envergadura del desastre. Por desgracia no hubo nadie que aplicara para el plan, todos eran culpables, an hasta los que se autoproclamaban defensores del bosque... y pasaron los aos... un da alguien se durmi a los pies de un Sauco ya centenario, luego de una copiosa cena asada en un fogn situado entre sus races nudosas. El abuelo suavemente abraz al durmiente hasta que todo l y el hombre fueron la misma cosa, al despertar, el fuego no solo rodeaba el rbol, sino que ya haba cobrado gran parte del bosque. Trato de huir y de pronto se dio cuenta que estaba como clavado a la tierra, algo misterioso lo aferraba sin que pudiese hacer movimiento alguno, y una voz desde lo profundo del tronco le deca que en ese precioso instante estaba compartiendo con el rbol la imposibilidad de huir, y su propia muerte... Muchos aos despus del fuego la gente que pasaba se preguntaba quien habra tallado al hombre que yaca abrazado por el rbol quemado... Quiz el cuento no sea el origen del Bosque Tallado, pero le cabe a la medida, se podra decir que las tallas estuvieron all desde siempre, y hasta me atrevera a decir que fueron sugeridas por el rbol que amigablemente se entreg a las manos del artista para ser junto con l una misma cosa... Pero fueron Marcelo Lpez y Carlos Navarra, quienes rescataron el mensaje de los arboles y se pusieron a convocar escultores de todo el planeta para la hazaa de hacer que el bosque hable con la gente y le cuente su historia. El lugar elegido es un bosque de lengas prximo a los restos de un incendio forestal del '78, en el trayecto de la picada que conduce al refugio del cerro Piltriquitrn. El primer encuentro se realiz el ao pasado y convoc a trece escultores: Susana Balone (chaco), Guillermo Rodriguez y Jaime Pereira (Tucumn), Arturo Lomba, Ral Varnern, Cayetano

Donato y Don Angel Marzorati, joven de 76 aos, (todos de Buenos Aires), Nadia Gutman (Bariloche), Eduardo Iusso (Chubut) y los escultores locales de El Bolsn: Juan Carlos Toledo, Ral Navarra y Marcelo Lpez. Durante ocho das el rbol y el artista fueron una misma esencia, junto al canto de los pjaros del sitio se oyeron en concierto gubias y formones, este encuentro dio a lugar a un segundo que ser del 13 al 21 de noviembre de 1999, y se har otro el 2000 para iniciar el siglo, y terminar este proyecto que yo dira es el mejor homenaje que se le puede hacer al bosque. Nota: El bosque Tallado fue declarado de inters Nacional, Provincial y Municipal; toda el rea fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de El Bolsn y zona intangible. Fue muy visitado durante el verano y por ese motivo se pidi a las autoridades mejorar el camino de acceso vehicular existente a fin de facilitar la llegada al sitio. Durante el transcurso del encuentro los artistas subieron a caballo todos los das a trabajar cada uno en su obra pasando all todo el da; el encuentro finalizo con un campamento de despedida velando la obra terminada. But they were Marcelo Lopez and Carlos Navarro, who rescued the message of the trees and began to call sculptors from around the globe to exploit the forest to talk to people and tell their story.
