No. F.No. 137/E/HQ/127-BC dated 23-08-2010 Transport Department, Government of NCT Delhi regarding safety of vehicle. Kindly note that most of the school vans being deployed privately for transportation of children from their homes to schools and back are not possessing valid documents such as valid permit, certificated of fitness, pollution under control certificate, speed governor, driving licence or PS badge etc. Moreover engaging such vehicles which are not having valid documents and lack fitness are very risky and can lead to some major accident. To avoid this parents are requested to kindly ensure that vehicles which are engaged in transportation of school children are being registered under a separate series i.e. DL1K. The vehicle registered under this scheme can be identified easily as these vehicles are required to put horizontal strip of 150mm width in the middle, in golden yellow colour on all sides.
