ICT Reflections

Thanks everyone for your ICT sharing at our last staff meeting. It was great to hear what everyone is doing in their room and the new learning that is happening for both students and teachers. We are in the process of purchasing wireless ICT equipment which will free up a number of machines to be shared through the school. Of course, it is important that we ensure the equipment we have in our rooms is being fully utilised. I will be reporting to the BOT about how were using ICT in our classrooms. They make a considerable financial contribution to ICT in the school, and will be keen to know of the wonderful things youre all doing and how were progressing in our ICT Action Plan this year. This is also a reminder that Sue has offered release to anyone wanting some ICT support. Lyn is available whether you want her in your class or out, please let me know and Ill help you to book a time. Time is running out before the end of the term. Later this term, well be gathering Student Voice about ICT and the ways children are using ICTs to help them learn. ______________________________ Following on from your sharing and our Professional Learning day with Derek Wenmoth and Mark Osborne I would appreciate some feedback in the following areas: Addition Incorporation Integration Assimilation (Derek Wenmoth) Where do you see yourself and the way you are using ICT in the classroom?
