For entrance into the Master's program: Successful completion of a 4 year Bachelors degree or a 3 year Bachelors degree PLUS a 1 year Masters degreefrom a recognized institution; A minimum grade of 55% or standing of Second class, Upper division in the last two years of study, where a typical grading scale is: U.M. Scale Indian Scale A+ 80-100% (First Division) A 60-79% (First Division) B+ 57-59 (Second Class, Upper Division) B 55-57 (Second Class, Upper Division) C+ 45-54% (Second Class, Lower Division) C 33-44% (Third Division) F 0-32% (Fail) In some instances, a Pass Division may follow the "Third Division". This would be equivalent to a D grade. For entrance into the Ph.D. program: Requirements listed above (see Masters program) plus successful completion of a Master of Philosophy (2 years) orDoctor of Philosophy (3 years) from a recognized institution OR successful completion of a 4 year Bachelors degree PLUS a 2 year Masters degree from a recognized institution.
