Dried beef rice

Dried beef rice, is known as Carter rice, is a dish of Brazilian cuisine, native of Rio Grande do Sul, started when the carters (cargo) that crossed the south of Brazil in carts pulled by oxen in an iron pot boiled a mixture of minced jerky beef (stew) with rice.

1. Ingredients: - 1 kg Dried beef clean (most of the fat removed), diced - 500 g Rice - 1 large onion, chopped - 2 Garlic cloves, chopped - 2 Ripe tomatoes, chopped - parsley (chopped) - Salt to taste - Pepper to taste - 1 tablespoon of butter - water to boil and desalt the beef jerky - water to boil the rice

2. Method: 1 At first, boil the rice for 30 minutes, at 180C. After this reserve it; 2 Take the diced dried beef and boil for 30 minutes, after this, drain it and reserve; 3 So Heat the pot for 3 minutes, then add the butter until melt it, fry the of onion, cloves garlic, ripe tomatoes and the dried beef, until golden; 4 At last, take the chopped parsley add into the pot and mix with the other ingredients. Mix for a few minutes, then add the rice into the "mixture", and mix again for 10 minutes, then enjoy the meal.
