What is Global Warming?

Global Warming is defined as the increase of the average temperature on Earth. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like Hurricanes, Droughts and Floods are getting more frequent. According to the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), global surface temperature increased 0.74 0.18 C (1.33 0.32 F) during the 20th century

Factors Responsible for Global Warming

GREENHOUSE EFFECT HUMAN ACTIVITIES
 AGRICULTURE TRAFFIC INDUSTRIALIZATION DEFORESTATION

GREENHOUSE EFFECT
Green House Gases trap some of Sunds Energy within our atmosphere andincrease the temperature of Earthds surface andatmosphere . This is Calledas Greenhouse Effect.

Methane(CH4)

Carbon Di Oxide(CO2)

Fossil Fuels (coal, oil, natural gas)

HUMAN ACTIVITIES
AGRICULTURE Agriculture is a huge source of Methane And nitrous oxide and responsible for 15% Of worldwide Greenhouse gas emission.

HUMAN ACTIVITIES
TRAFFIC 750 million cars worldwide emit a total of approx. 2.25billion tons of CO2 each year . which results into increasing the concentration of greenhouse gas and leads to Global Warming.

HUMAN ACTIVITIES
INDUSTRIALIZATION Industrial production is also responsible For more than half of CO2 emission. Largest quantities of CO2 emitted by Energy Producers.

HUMAN ACTIVITIES
DEFORESTATION A quarter of CO2 emission worldwide from Deforestation. Net forest loss since 2000: 7.3 million hectares per year. A big issue responsible for Global Warming

Whats the proof that global warming is taking place?

Portage Glacier

Colorado River

According to NOAA(National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) Sea level is rising and the rate of change is accelerating. polar ice has increased the rate of sea level rise from about 6.8 inches average during most of the 20th Century to a current rate of 12 to 14 inches per century
