Linn MO Zach Tarter of Harrisonville, MO was awarded the $1,750 Freedom Cycles Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. Tarter is seeking a degree in the Powersports Technology program at Linn State Technical College. The Freedom Cycles Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing an associate of applied science degree in Powersports Technology. A second year award is available if the recipient meets the scholarship guidelines. Freedom Cycles, located in Grandview, MO, is owned and operated by Mike and Jenni Stanfield. In addition to Freedom Cycles, the Stanfields own Advantage Power Sports in Kansas City, MO and Warrensburg Cycles in Warrensburg, MO. The Foundation for Linn State Technical College, founded in 1983, is dedicated solely to the advancement of Linn State Technical College.
