Independence is the foundation of the only sort of freedom worth a damn

Introduction
By Russel Arvin R. Velarde First of all, we are grouped into 8 members and each group should have a name. And the name we chose to represent us is TAIM-TEAM! Hahaha! What a stupid but hilarious name!:p After all, every name in each group has Team on its name like Team-Bang, Team-Ang and Team-Awa. Then we were told to find an opportunity in which we can interview individuals just near Trinity regarding the Health Systems Model: Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritual Well Being; the problems they have encountered and the changes they want. Taim-Team planned to head in the slum areas on Araneta Ave. in which we are aware that most of the people living there are very unfortunate. So our group met up in Puregold that day to have everybody intact then we proceed to our interviewing activity. We felt like we re famous celebs because people started to encircle us for we are like in a TV show and we were so embarrassed for that but we still continue our activity for the sake of experiencing things that we haven t experienced like interviewing various kinds of individuals and of course for the grade in Health Eco. :) After we have interviewed the person, we gave them giveaways for spending a little time with us. We would like to thank our Professor in Health Economics, Sir Neil Catly Bermudez for giving us this kind of project that made us closer to each other and made us more aware of the people s feelings and condition around us. This helped us become sensitive and hopeful for they ve shown us that no matter what happens in life, it must go on!:)

Observation : Our observation is that even though they are facing many problems in their daily lives, they are still hoping that the government could help them change their community.

Talk about the effects of the typhoon Ondoy in their community since it destroyed their houses and livelihood. It was really something else. Indeed, it was catastrophic. But the good thing is that they still continue to live and still manage to be happy. My experience in going to the community is that even though there are less fortunate, they have this bonding in them and that they are always happy, even though they have all these problems surrounding them. At first we were nervous because maybe we couldn t talk to them easily but it was actually the opposite because they were actually easy to talk to.
