Job description : - Support the work of the PES EU Policy Unit - Provide research and briefings on EU policy issues Your profile : - Strong interest in party politics, elections and government action - Member (or close to) a socialist or social democratic party - Very good understanding of EU institutions, policies and politics. Very good knowledge of EU Member States with an emphasis on Central and Eastern European countries. - Excellent spoken and written English and ability to work in at least one of the following languages: Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovene, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek. - High motivation and pro-activeness - Excellent research, monitoring, information management and writing skills Practical information : - Location: PES Headquarters, 98 rue du Trne, Brussels - Duration: September 2011- January 2012 - Remuneration: + /-1100 EUR net Please send your application letter, accompanied by a detailed CV, to Philip Cordery, PES Secretary General, before 14 June.
